Product Development Intern

Role Description

This is a temporary unpaid position as a Product Development Intern (retail) but could blossom into a full-time position. Working for a vendor to mass retail chains requires lots of planning, creative brainstorming sessions, and a vast understanding of our USA consumers. The selected intern will work with our product development team to assist with day-to-day tasks, including market research, analyzing data, communication, research and development (R&D) across mass-market retailers, and product management. This is a hybrid role with some flexibility for remote work.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Understanding of product development basics
  • Proficient in Canva, Excel, and Adobe Illustrator
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for the beauty and bath industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with market research and product management is a plus
  • Background in apparel studies, product development, business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Information Technology and Systems Evaluator Intern

Role Description

This is a temporary unpaid position as a Information Technology Intern but could blossom into a full-time position. This is a temporary role as an Information Technology (IT) Intern at Hi Peach Layne. The IT Intern will evaluate all aspects of the company’s information technology, including email configurations, cloud storage options, various networks, security, software, hardware, and databases. They will be responsible for providing strategic direction for the company’s technology infrastructure, ensuring that systems are reliable, secure, and efficient, supervising the IT team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency. Some remote work is acceptable, but the role is primarily located in Little Rock, AR.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of networks, security, software, hardware, and databases
  • Proven experience in working with IT systems and infrastructure
  • Ability to provide strategic direction for technology infrastructure, including implementing technology projects
  • Experience in leading a team, managing priorities, and delegating tasks effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Experience in the beauty or consumer product industry is a plus
